What is the Zalenzoeker?

The Zalenzoeker is a tool from the City of Ghent to explore the range of venues in Ghent.

You can find:

• City venues (venues managed by the City of Ghent)
• Private venues (venues offered by private providers)

When do you use this?

Use the Zalenzoeker if you want to organise an activity and you:

• want to quickly see which venues are available,
• want to compare specific information per venue (e.g. location, capacity, facilities),
• want to apply for/reserve a city venue.

How does it work? (steps)

1. Go to the Zalenzoeker.
2. Choose Find a venue and filter by what you need (e.g. venue type, location, capacity).
3. Click on a venue to view the details.

Applying for / reserving a city venue (important)

• To reserve/apply online for a city venue, you need a username and password.
• Submit your request at least 4 weeks before the start of the activity.
• The booking is only final after the City of Ghent checks and approves the request (you will receive a confirmation email).
• Payment details follow after the reservation is approved.

Tips

• Take set-up/take-down into account: you usually pay for the entire continuous period, including set-up and take-down.
• Check the manual (PDF) on the website if you get stuck.
