• Validity: 1 academic year (from decision date)

Eligibility (3 conditions)

You must meet all three:

1. At least 60 credits obtained in an academic programme or you lead an existing business.
2. At least half of the enrolled credits were obtained in the previous academic year (unless first time in higher education).
3. Provide a description of your entrepreneurial activity or a plan with the intention to offer a valorisable product/service within 12 months, with clear growth perspective.

Application procedure

1. Submit a motivated request to the Director of Education via oasis.ugent.be.
2. Deadline: 5 November (unless exceptional circumstances).
3. Attach supporting documents/attestations.

What facilities can you request?

Only if there is a direct conflict with education/evaluation activities. Examples:

• adjustment/exemption of mandatory attendance activities (possibly with replacement task)
• taking a catch-up exam
• alternative evaluation moment (within the same academic year)
• alternative feedback moment

Deadlines to choose facilities per course (via Oasis)

The UGent page lists per-exam-period deadlines (e.g. 23 April 2026; 6 August 2026; 2 December 2026; etc.). If the status is granted later, choose facilities as soon as possible after approval.

Practical notes

Facilities are agreed with the lecturer; a lecturer may refuse a facility with motivation when essential competencies are affected or it is not feasible.
